There are a number of awards for photographic merit given by FIAP. The ones most likely to be of interest are:-

A) AFIAP (Artist FIAP)

B) EFIAP (Excellence FIAP)

To apply for EFIAP you must be the holder of the AFIAP Distinction.  You cannot receive your EFIAP award until at least 12 months after the date of your AFIAP certificate.  You will be required to have gained (including those used for your AFIAP award) at least 250 acceptances with a total of at least 50 different photographs.  This success must have come from at least 30 different salons with FIAP Patronage, and those salons must be from at least 20 different countries.  At least 25 of your acceptances must have been gained with PRINTS as apposed to PDI.
Number of Salons Used - The same named salon can be used in different years; A “Circuit” will be counted as a single salon.
Number of Countries Used - Scotland, England and Wales are regarded as separate countries.
Award - To be taken as a Medal, Commendation, Diploma, Prize.
FIAP Life Cards     This is a requirement when applying for all distinctions. The cost of the card is £55 and the application can be made along with the submission forms for the distinction.
Portfolio of Accepted Work    A portfolio of 10 prints of accepted work must be submitted with the appropriate FIAP forms when a distinction is applied for. These prints are retained by FIAP.

Photographic Alliance of Great Britain

CPAGB - The most important  award of the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain is the Credit Award, CPAGB, which is designed specifically to recognize the ‘Good Club Photographer’. If you do well in your own club, if your work is selected for inter-club and for SPF competitions then you can probably qualify for this award. You don’t have to enter international exhibitions or win gold medals — just turn in a good consistent standard of pictures and be active in support of your club and SPF competitions.

To achieve the CPAGB Award - you have to submit a set of 10 prints or 10 slides or 10 digital files of a good Club standard. 6 adjudicators then consider your images, each scoring between 2 and 5, therefore the lowest score per picture is 12, the highest is 30, and you need a total of 200 for all 10 pictures to succeed.

DPAGB - You can go on to the Distinction Award, DPAGB, which is judged at ‘exhibition standard’. For this you have to enter 15 prints or 15 slides or 15 digital files and, bearing in mind that the adjudicators are looking for ‘international exhibition standard’, you have to score a total of 300 points to get the award

MPAGB - After that comes the very difficult Master award, MPAGB, which is awarded for ‘the very best amateur photography’. 20 photographs are required, a much more stringent adjudication standard, and 450 points to succeed.

British Photographic Exhibitions - BPE

The crown award system is designed to enable successful photographers to gain additional recognition. Exhibitors are invited to aggregate their acceptances in the affiliated exhibitions and upon reaching the accepted aggregate they apply without charge for a Crown Rating Award. They will receive a certificate and ribbon and will be entitled to use the letters acknowledging their award after their name. i.e. BPE 1* or BPE 2* up to BPE 5~.
